We are entering a new era of computing: the rise of personalized digital assistants that augment human capabilities. With its unique multi-input and interdisciplinary approach, Musimap’s technology sorts complex moods, connections, relations, influences, experiences, and memories in precise contexts.
By the end of 2015, Musimap will have incorporated over 3 billion data points into its algorithm, creating a synaptic-like network of weighted variables focused on personalization. While these 3 billion ‘synapses’ are just a fraction of the synaptic connections present in the human brain, they are the keystone of the emotion-based discovery options that Musimap offers.
Since the R&D was initiated in 1986 and with 2.2 million euro invested to date (series A and B), the expertise of sixty key musicologists and specialists from all over Europe resulted in a cognitive computing system that utilizes cross-weighted music taxonomy. The result: a scalable, market ready music intelligence platform that empowers our clients to build personalized content curation at scale and set new standards of immersive experiences.
Musimap’s algorithm applies fifty-five weighted variables to each music unit (e.g tracks, genres, labels) so as to model the world’s discography as a multi-layered system of crossed influences based on a musicological, lexicological and socio-psychological approach. Musimap’s set of four APIs utilizes our granular proprietary database (2B+ data points, 700M relations, 50M tracks, 4M artists) in a fraction of a second to provide clients with a prescriptive, suggestive and instructive music intelligence. Such technology allows music discovery at scale, as well as the creation of advanced music applications from hands-free playlist generation to hands-on intuitive exploration and navigation.
